Georgia is a remarkable state. Our beloved state is rich with history and it embraces diversity and encourages entrepreneurship and economic development. In recent years, Georgia has suffered from failed, hyper-partisan leadership that has prevented the “Capital of the New South” from realizing its true economic, social and political potential. I am saddened that tens of thousands of hardworking Georgians have lost their jobs and are struggling to support themselves and their families. As your next junior Senator, my top priority will be to create good jobs that pay decent wages, offer reliable benefits and provide dignity to those engaged in honest labor. My campaign will not engage in the corrosive politics of negativism and personal attacks. We will focus our efforts and resources on forging a winning coalition of Georgians who are committed to building a brighter future for our children. The people of Georgia deserve a United States Senator who will work tirelessly to ensure that we have a federal government that is open and honest, a federal government that appropriates tax dollars wisely, and a compassionate federal government that helps those in need of critical services. Together, we will build a better Georgia and an even greater America.
